Funeral services for Mrs. Janis T. Bilbo will be on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Siloam Baptist Church in Meadville, MS. at 2:00 PM, with burial to follow in the Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery, MS. Rev. Leon Wallace will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

Mrs. Bilbo, 86, passed from this life on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at Meadville Convalescent Home with her loving family by her side. She was born on July 16, 1931 in Franklin County, MS to Mr. Vardaman Temple and Mrs. Dorothy Short Temple.

She was a faithful member of Siloam Baptist Church for many years. She was dedicated to her work in the church and many other points of ministry in Franklin County. She was dedicated to the love and care of many elderly people throughout the community and nursing homes. She was a loving wife and mother.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Mr. Vardaman Temple and Mrs. Dorothy Short Temple.

Survivors are her husband of 66 years, Mr. Dewitt Bilbo of Meadville; son, Lynn Bilbo and wife, Sandra of Vicksburg, MS; grandchildren, Nicole McGarrity and husband Billy of Madison, MS, and Michael Bilbo; great-grandchildren, Emma McGarrity and Callie McGarrity; sister, JoAnn Hill and husband, Joe of Madison, MS; brother, Riley Temple and wife Wilda of Natchez, MS.

Pallbearers are Deacons of Siloam Baptist Church.

The family requests memorial donations be sent in her name to Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery fund at Siloam Baptist Church, 8031 Hwy. 98 East, Meadville, MS 39653.
