James T. Herring, 87, of Meadville, MS died Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Meadville, MS. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Meadville Baptist Church in Meadville, MS. He was buried in Carson Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Herring was a retired teacher. He was active in the local 4-H and FFA clubs. He also enjoyed tending and observing his cattle. He served in the U S Navy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Midas and Belle Berry Herring, and a brother, Charlie Herring.

Surviving Mr. Herring are: his wife: Marjorie Stogner Herring, his two daughters, Jacqueline Herring of Meadville, MS; and Tanya Huff of Meadville, MS; his grandsons, Lynt Herring of McComb, MS, Lance Carroll and wife Ashley of West Lincoln, MS, and Tristin Huff of Meadville, MS.

Pallbearers are: Lynt Herring, Lance Carroll, Tristin Huff,
Bruce Stogner, Tim Tindle Bobby Kelly.

Memorial Donations are to be made to Meadville Baptist Church.
