Funeral services for Mrs. Ida R. Coleman will be on Friday, April 5, 2019, at New Hope Baptist Church in Meadville, MS at 11:30 AM, with burial to follow in the Family Cemetery on Fifteen Mile Creek Road. Rev. Calvin Wactor will be officiating with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

Mrs. Coleman, 93, of Meadville, MS, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born in Franklin County on August 19, 1925 to Mr. George Washington Ezell and Mrs. Janie Case Ezell.

She enjoyed cooking and reading for pleasure. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Preceding her in death were her parents, George Washington Ezell and Janie Case Ezell; husband, John Higdon Coleman Sr.; sisters, Jewel Thames, Nellie Nash and brother Roy R. Ezell.

Survivors are daughter, Marsha C. Arnold and husband Gary of Brandon, MS; sons, John Higdon Coleman, Jr. of Meadville, Steve Coleman of Meadville; grandchildren, Matthew Arnold and Paige Panter, and 4 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Vance Woodcock, Mike Nash, Hinchey Ray Lee, Matt Arnold, Jeff Panter and Mike Arnold.
