Funeral services for Mrs. Helen E. Havard will be on Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS, at 4:00 PM with burial to follow in the Midway Cemetery in Meadville, MS. Bro. Marvin Howard will be officiating the services with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home on Sunday, July 1, 2018, from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 4:00 PM.

Mrs. Havard, 76, of Natchez, MS, passed from this life on Friday, June 29, 2018, at her son's residence in Hattiesburg, MS. She was born on June 28, 1942, in Meadville, MS, to Mr. Morell Ezell and Mrs. Fannie Mae Ezell. She was of the Baptist faith; was a homemaker; and enjoyed working in her yard with her flowers, watching the Atlanta Braves, and spending time with her family. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, James Lee Havard; step-son, James L. Havard, Jr.; step-daughter, Debra Havard Hart; sisters, Agnes Ezell West and Ena Jackson; and brothers, Everett, Farrell, Charles, Hubert and Harold Ezell; grandsons, Kory DeWitt and Derrick Havard; and great-granddaughter, Maley Case Hammond.

Survivors are her sons, Gary Bass of Hattiesburg, MS, Dewayne Bass and wife Becky of Bogue Chitto, MS, and Greg Bass and wife Diana of Brookhaven, MS; step-daughter, Shirley Havard Valentine of Natchez, MS; step-sons, Terry and Angie Havard of McCall Creek, MS, and Randy Havard of Centreville, MS; brothers, M.L. Ezell and wife Marilyn, and Freddie Ezell; sisters, Margie Halford and Dorothy Powell; grandchildren, Shanna Clark, Amanda Taylor, Holli Touchstone, Tasha Lucas, Josh Bass, Kelsey Bass, Justin Ebarb, Kimberly DeWitt, Sarah McPhate, Summer Valentine and Eric Hart; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
