Guy Larry Dickerson's Obituary
Guy Larry Dickerson, 73, passed from this life on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at Brook Manor Nursing Home in Brookhaven, MS. Mr. Dickerson was born January 13, 1942, to Guy H. and Alice McGehee Dickerson.
Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS on Friday, November 13, 2015, from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue Saturday, November 14, 2015, from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 10:00 AM at Franklin Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow in Midway Cemetery in Meadville, MS. Bro. Larry Wallace will officiate the services. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Dickerson was a retired production supervisor with Phillips Petroleum. He was a member of Bude United Methodist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman that loved to hunt and fish. He loved to spend time with friends, family and loved ones. He was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Guy H. and Alice McGehee Dickerson; and wives, Greta Green Dickerson and Patricia Halford Dickerson.
Survivors are 4 children; 11 grandchildren; great granddaughter, Jetty Lila McClain; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers are Conley Greer, Jimmy Jones, Archie Campbell, Hinchey R. Lee, Marvin Myers and Brad Jones.
Honorary Pallbearers are Phillip Godbold, Jimmy Burris and Carey Barron.
The family wishes to extend a very special "Thank You" to Lisa Murray and to the staffs of Brook Manor, King's Daughters Medical Center, and Hospice Ministries.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
