Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Louise Farr will be on Sunday, January, 30, 2022 at Roxie, Baptist Church in Roxie, MS. at 2:00 PM, with burial to follow in the Roxie City Cemetery in Roxie, MS. Rev. Van Windom, Rev. Jamie Wallace, and Bro. Tyson Windom will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home on Saturday, January 29, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue at Roxie Baptist Church on Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM.
Mrs. Farr, 95, of Roxie, MS passed from this life on Friday, January 28, 2022, at her home. She was born in Maumelle, AR on August 3, 1926 to Mr. Joseph Walderns and Mrs. Maggie Daniel Walderns.
She enjoyed sewing and making Christmas stockings for friends and family. She spent a lot of time out in her garden caring for her pot plants and blueberry bushes. She retired from Georgia Pacific after 25 years of service as an Accounts Payable Clerk. She faithfully attended Roxie Baptist Church, where served as treasurer of the building fund for many years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and wonderful friend.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Joseph and Maggie Daniel Walderns; husband, Lonnie Bernard "LB" Farr Jr.; brothers James Walderns, Charles Walderns, Floyd Walderns and Sherman Walderns. Also, preceded in death by great granddaughter, Kathryn Lindsey Farr and daughter in law, Janice Farr.
Survivors are her sons, Daniel Farr and wife Bonnie of Meadville, MS, Greg Farr and wife Kathy of Meadville, MS and Steve Farr of Roxie, MS; two grandchildren, Megan Brown and husband, Sonny, of Bude, Emily Watson and husband, Graham, of Hattiesburg; two great grandchildren, Carter Brown and Cooper Brown; sister-in-laws, Emma Farr, Barbara Duck; along with many nieces, nephews and a special friend, Vera Allen.
The family request memorials be made in her name to the Roxie Baptist Church Building Fund.
