Funeral services for Mr. Glenn Twiner will be on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow in the Sarepta Baptist Church Cemetery in Meadville, MS. Rev. Tony Mullins and Rev. Eric Moak will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and resume on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 10:00 AM until time of service.
Mr. Twiner, 70, passed from this life on University Medical Center on April 18, 2018 with is loving family by his side. He was born on November 11, 1947 in Brookhaven, MS, to Mr. Albert Twiner and Mrs. Hughlyne Mitchell Twiner.
Glenn retired from Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company where he was employed for many years as a bias cutter. He was a dedicated sports fan. He loved his Ole Miss Rebel football and would travel to Oxford, MS on many occasions to see them play. Glenn also faithfully supported Franklin County High School sports programs. He faithfully attended the school's football, basketball and many baseball games with his group of "Grumpy Old Men".
Glenn was known as a quiet, compassionate, and loving man that loved to talk about his children and grandchildren. His family was his life. He loved them very much.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Albert and Hughlyne Twiner; paternal grandparents, Clem and Annie Twiner and maternal grandparents, Stanton and Maude Mitchell.
Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Bonnie Twiner; three daughters, Tammy Hastings and Fred of Meadville, Sherry Tanner and Fiancé Dusty Rollinson of Meadville, Misty Twiner and Bryan Adair of Vidalia, LA; one son, Joe Twiner and Courtney of Vidalia, LA; six grandchildren, Hillary Twiner, Morgan Rouse, Brody Tanner, Aubrey Claire Housley, Eli Twiner, Molly Kate Twiner; one great granddaughter, Rowen Rouse along with many other family and friends.
The family request memorials be made in Glenn's name to Sarepta Baptist Church Cemetery at 11594 Union Church Rd, Meadville, MS 39653.Sarepta Baptist Church
