Obituary

Mr. Glen Lee, 77, of Eddiceton, MS passed away after a lengthy illness on Friday, November 8, 2013 peacefully at the Meadville Convalescent Home. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2013 from 5:00 P M until 8:00 P M at Franklin Funeral Home, on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 10:00 A M until 12:00 P M at Franklin Funeral Home, and continue at New Hope Baptist Church from 1:00 P M until the time of service at 2:00 P M. Dr. Harold Anderson, Rev. Webb Armstrong, and Dr. Eddie Hamilton will be officiating the services. Burial will follow in Midway Cemetery in Meadville, MS. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Lee was born August 24, 1936, in Amite County, MS, to Albert and Iris Martin Lee. He joined the Mississippi National Guard at an early age and served in the guard for 8 years. He worked for Johns Manville in Natchez, MS, International Paper Container Division in Springhill, LA, and in the oilfield for several years. He was retired from Herring Gas Company where he worked as a propane gas salesman for over 34 years. He was a member of Bude First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother: Bobby Gerald Lee.

Survivors are his wife of 53 years: Peggy Seale Lee of Eddiceton, MS; daughter: Sheila Lee Ryals of Baton Rouge, LA; granddaughter: Jessica Bass Grice and husband Jason of Lucien, MS; brother: Gene Lee and wife Evelyn of Meadville, MS; sister-in-law: Carolyn Lee of Tupelo, MS; nieces: Angela Lee of Bude, MS, and Lorinda Lee of New York, NY; and a host of friends.
