Funeral services for Mrs. Geraldine Ashmore will be on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS, at 1:00 PM with burial to follow in the Temple Hill Church Cemetery in Smithdale, MS. Franklin Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM.

Mrs. Ashmore, 82, of Meadville, MS, passed from this life on July 1, 2019, at Franklin County Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born on April 28, 1937, in Franklin County, MS, to John Henry and Mabel Laird Nettles. She was a member of Cold Springs Church of Christ: worked for many years as a cafeteria worker at Southwest Community College; and enjoyed visiting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Marita Booth; and brother, Dewayne Nettles.

Survivors are her sons, Larry Ashmore, Jamie Ashmore, and Michael Ashmore; sister, Lorraine Smith; brother, Lester Nettles; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Corey Ashmore, Austen Ashmore, Matthew Ashmore, James Allen Ashmore, William Walker, and Dusty Crum. Honorary pallbearer is Warren Ashmore.
