It is with great sadness that the family of Fred R. Davis, resident of Prairieville, LA by way of Roxie, MS, announces his passing on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at the age of 79. Fred was born August 7, 1938 in New Orleans, LA.
He was a Korean War veteran in the United States Air Force, and a retired computer software technician. Fred was an avid LSU Tiger and Saints fan, and he loved the Kansas City Royals.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hiram Fred Davis, Jr and Ethel M. Davis.
Survivors include his loving companion Brenda K. Maloy, a son, Barry L. Davis, his two stepdaughters, Angela Keller and Tracy Broussard and her husband Jason S. Broussard, and four step-grandsons, Brock Weiss, Caleb Keller, Tyler Broussard and Reed LeBoeuf.

Visitation will be on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 6 pm-9pm at Graceworks Church, located at 16131 Highway 44 in Prairieville, LA.
Funeral Service will take place at 1 pm on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Franklin Funeral Home, located at 291 Main Street, Meadville, MS 39654, with interment immediately following at Roxie City Cemetery. The family is very grateful for the staff of Baton Rouge General and The Crossing Clarity Hospice of Baton Rouge.
