Graveside services for Mrs. Frances Joy Priest Bonds was held on Saturday, July 11, 2025 at 11am at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Franklin County, Mississippi. Larry Sherman officiated the service with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bonds, 94, of Baker Louisiana, passed from this life on Thursday, July 10, 2025. She was born on April 29, 1931, to Frank Priest and Alyene Stockstill Priest in Franklin County, Mississippi. She was a 1950 graduate of Roxie High School. She married the love of her life, Gerald Dayton Bonds, Sr., in the high school auditorium a few minutes after her high school graduation ceremony. Together, they had three children: Gerald Dayton Bonds, Jr. (Janis), Janet Alyene Bonds Sillinger (Gaylord), and Robert Wesley Bonds (Beverly).

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gerald and her brother, Frank Priest, Jr. Surviving her are her three children, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Also surviving her are her sister, Kay Priest Wilkinson; her sister-n-law, Nettie Arthur; a special friend, Larry Sherman; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was a past member of the Home Demonstration Club. She enjoyed reading and watching television. Her favorite television show was Touched By An Angel.

Pallbearers will be Alex Bonds, Adam Bonds, Steven Bonds, ML Bonds, and William Bonds.
