Obituary

Funeral services for Mrs. Fannylene Arnold will be on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Smithdale, MS, at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Bro. Marvin Howard will be officiating the services with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Monday, January 22, 2018, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.

Mrs. Arnold, 89, passed from this life on Friday, January 19, 2018, at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born on January 10, 1929, in Franklin County, MS, to Mr. Marshall and Mrs. Wilene McGehee Carraway. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Smithdale, MS; was a retired seamstress from Kellwood in McComb, MS; and enjoyed bowling, crocheting, cooking and spending time with her family. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Marshall and Wilene McGehee Carraway; husband, Walter Nimrod Arnold; sisters, Mary Lee Lezina and Bonnie May Groover; and brothers, Roy Carraway and Charles Ray Carraway.

Survivors are her sons, Roger W. Arnold and wife, Connie of Meadville, MS, and Glen Arnold and wife, Glenda of McCall Creek, MS; brother, Hosie Carraway of Liberty, MS; grandchildren, Lisa Arnold Storey and husband Mike, Shane Arnold and wife Angel, and Justin Arnold and wife Kelly; great-grandchildren, Maddie Ann Storey, Savannah, Paden Jacob and Eli Arnold, and Chase, Colby, Haze and Colt Arnold; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family requests memorials be made in Mrs. Arnold's name to Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
