Ms. Eva Claire Ross, 86, was called home from this life on Monday, April 27, 2015 at King's Daughters Hospital in Brookhaven, MS. Ms. Ross was born November 24, 1928 in Roxie, MS to Mr. William A. Ross and Mrs. Juanita O. Rice Ross.

Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 1:30 PM till 2:00 PM. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM at Franklin Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow in Roxie Cemetery in Roxie MS. Rev. Jamie Wallace will officiate the services. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Ms. Ross served her country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. She was retired from the medical profession after many years. She loved wood carving, sewing, knitting, and crocheting.

Ms. Ross is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. William A. Ross and Mrs. Juanita O. Rice Ross; brothers, James I. Ross, Lawrence Ross and Joseph E. Ross.

Survivors are son, James W. Pettibone of Couer D'Alene, ID; sisters, Marie Wellman of Dayton, OH, Billie Arneson and husband Dwayne of Tucson, AZ, Rubie Ross of Malvern, AR, and Ruth Ross of Accokeek, MD, and a host of family and friends.

The family wishes to extend a very special "Thank You" to Jean and Billy Havard for their close and compassionate watch-care and Rev. Jamie Wallace and members of Roxie Baptist Church for their loving ministry.
