Funeral services for Mrs. Wilda Rae Wilkinson Smith will be on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Pilgrims Rest Primitive Baptist Church in Meadville, MS at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Elder Mickey Myers will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Pilgrims Rest Primitive Baptist Church on Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 12:00 PM until time of service at 2:00 PM.

Mrs. Smith, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Franklin Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born on July 2, 1926 to Mr. Claude Wilkinson and Mrs. Julia Cothern Wilkinson.

Mrs. Smith was retired as a Ward Clerk after many years of employment at Humana Hospital. She loved gardening and taking care of her flowers. She devoted her life to loving and raising her daughters and grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Claude and Julia Wilkinson; husband, James Kelly Smith; infant daughter, Linda Ann Smith; sister, Bernice Smith and brother, Lanis Wilkinson.

Survivors are her sister, Claudell Coleman and husband Johnny; daughters, Judy Smith and Marie LaCour Rogers of Magnolia, MS, Jane Anderson and husband Roy of Meadville, MS, and Janet Goldbach and husband Mike of Natchez, MS; grandchildren, Lyndsey Kimball, Jamie DuBose, and Virginia Rae Wilson; eleven (11) great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
