A graveside service for Etta Freeman Applewhite will be on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Midway Cemetery in Meadville, MS at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. Rev. James Hunsucker will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Etta Freeman Applewhite, 93, passed from this life on Sunday, February 9, 2025. She was born on September 21, 1931 in Meadville, MS to Mr. Kinner Freeman and Mrs. Minnie Carlock Freeman.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and talking on the phone.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, A.D. Applewhite, Jr.; brothers Loyd Freeman, Kinner Freeman, Jr., Floyd Freeman; and sister, Nettie Freeman Britt.

Survivors are her son, Tony Applewhite (Mandy); grandson, Jared Kinner Applewhite (Alexis); and sister, Nellie Freeman.
