Elsie Pearl Emfinger, 79, of Meadville, MS passed from this life on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Camelot Leisure Living Center in Ferriday, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27, 2014 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Franklin Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 1:30 PM in the Midway Cemetery. Bro. Matthew Emfinger will officiate the services. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Emfinger was born August 18, 1935 in Copiah County, MS to G.B. and Iola Morse Newell. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Meadville, MS. She retired from Natchez Regional Medical Center where she worked as a nurse for 37 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, G. B. and Iola Morse Newell.

Survivors are her husband of 59 years, A.J. Emfinger; son, Barry Emfinger and wife Cheryl of Vidalia, LA; daughters, Kathy Emfinger Prospere and husband Robert of Natchez, MS, and Debbie Emfinger Roberts and husband Jack of Fort Worth, TX; sisters, Rose Dixon and Linda Holmes and husband Fred; grandchildren, 4; great-grandchildren, 3; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
