Mr. Edwin Quentin "Quent" Peterson, Jr., 78, of Meadville, MS died Friday, November 8, 2013 peacefully at his residence. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 11, 2013 from 5:00 P M until 8:00 P M at Franklin Funeral Home and continue Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 9:00 A M until the time of services at 10:00 A M at Meadville United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Midway Cemetery in Meadville, MS. Franklin Funeral Home of Meadville, MS, is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Peterson was born July 31, 1935, in Minneapolis, MN, to Edwin Q. and Flora Knapp Peterson. He was a retired Sales and Marketing Executive from Diamond International Corporation (New York) and ABC Packaging Corporation (Tampa, FL). He was a member of Meadville United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother: Burton Peterson.

Survivors are his wife of 30 years: Leonora Eugenia "Jean" Peterson of Meadville; daughters: Krista Peterson Smith and husband Timothy of Champlin, MN, Karyn Peterson of Excelsior, MN, and Karen Graves Posey and husband Kenneth of Meadville, MS; sons: Mark Peterson and wife Deborah of Purcellville,VA, Michael K. Graves and wife Stacey of Hernando, MS, and Johnny M. Graves and wife Barbara of Garland, TX; sisters: Marilyn Amolsch and Wilda Marie Holzer; grandchildren: Joseph Peterson, Joshua Smith, Ashley Smith, Logan Rick, Brittany Graves, Alexis Graves, Micah Graves, Garrett Graves, Brandon Hollingsworth, and Joseph Hollingsworth; and a host of nieces and nephews.
