Obituary

Funeral services for Earlyn Maxwell Mullins will be on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Roxie Baptist Church in Roxie, MS at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Roxie Baptist Church from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM. Rev. Jamie Wallace and Rev. Tyson Windom will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Earlyn Maxwell Mullins, 99, went to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. She was born on February 18, 1925 in Lincoln County, MS to Mr. Earl and Mrs. Ruby Maxwell.

She was a faithful member of Roxie Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for 70 years. She was a Business Education teacher in the Franklin County School system for 40 years.  Her greatest joy was spending time with and taking care of her family. She enjoyed cooking Sunday dinner for her family.  She loved working in her yard and tending to her plants.  She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents and husband, Charles W. Mullins.

Survivors are her daughter, Lyda Cummins (Johnny) of Roxie; grandchildren, Chris Cummins, Joly Fields; great-grandchildren, Dylan Cummins, Lydia Cummins, Carter Fields, Hudson Fields, Tatum Fields; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Tony Mullins, Brad Mullins, Hoby Mullins, Zayne Mullins, Terry D'Avy, and Keith Whitehead.

The family request memorials be made in her name to Roxie Baptist Church.
