Mr. Douglas Allen Oglesby, 77, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at King's Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven, MS.  He was born on September 5, 1942 in Franklin County MS, to Harvie Alsworth Oglesby and Verdie Lucretia Steele Oglesby.

Mr. Oglesby was retired from International Paper Company in Natchez. He enjoyed listening and singing to gospel music and sang with the Pioneers quartet at local area churches during the 1980s. He was a loving father, grandfather, and wonderful friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Harvie and Verdie Oglesby; brother, Leland Oglesby; and two sisters, Carmon Burr and Nell Oglesby.

Survivors are his sister, Lula Weisenfels of North Little Rock, AR; son, David Oglesby (Tracy) of Madison, MS; daughters, Jeanne Wroten (Tim) of Smithdale, MS, and Jane Laird (Hugh) of Bogue Chitto, MS; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

A private burial will be held by the family at Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
