Funeral services for Dorothy (Dot) McFarland will be on Friday, November 6, 2026, at Landmark Pentecostal Church in Eddiceton, MS at 12:00 PM. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM. Rev. Jessie Givens will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Dorothy (Dot) McFarland, 93, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. She was born on July 8, 1933, in Franklin County, MS to Mr. John E. Foster and Mrs. Pearl Artman Foster.

She enjoyed gardening and loved to shop. She loved going to camp meetings and going to Gatlinburg. She was an avid reader.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Ralph McFarland; son, Mark McFarland; brothers J.W. Foster, James Foster; sisters, Ruby Todd, Juanita Martin, Detrece Wilson, Calmetta Myers, and Judy Hamilton.

Survivors are her son, Andy McFarland (Angie); daughter, Cindy Foster (Mickey); sister Betty Touchstone; 7 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Jason McFarland, Guy McFarland, Logan McFarland, Milo McFarland, Mickey Foster, and Rusty Martin.

Honorary pallbearers are Larry Todd and Danny Touchstone.

The family request memorials be made in her name to Landmark Pentecostal Church Building Fund.
