Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy C. Ezell, of Bude, MS, will be on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Dry Prong, LA, at 3:00 PM, with burial to follow in the Colfax City Cemetery in Colfax, LA. Rev. Loyd Whitman and Rev. Drew Gardner will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be at First Baptist Church on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 1:00 PM until time of service at 3:00 PM.
Mrs. Ezell, 81, passed from this life on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, in Alexandria, LA with her loving family by her side. She was born on August, 27, 1935 in Franklin County MS to Mr. Johnnie Dunn and Mrs. Mabelle Thornhill Dunn.
Mrs. Ezell was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother that loved the Lord and dedicated her life to loving, teaching, directing, and raising her family with Christian values.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Johnnie Dunn and Mabelle Thornhill Dunn; husband, James L. Ezell; sisters, Wilma DeLozier and Helen Lain; and brother, George (Pete) Dunn.
Those remaining to cherish her memories are daughters, Jimmie Fugler and husband Chuck of Brookhaven, MS, Diane Dean and husband Steven of LaComb, LA, Karen Sullivan and husband Rex of Bude, MS; son, Steve Ezell and wife Nancy of Colfax, LA; seventeen grandchildren, thirty one great grandchildren, and thirteen great-great grandchildren along with her loving Chihuahua puppy she called "baby" and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers are Shane Ezell, Kaleb Ezell, Jack Richardson, Terry Richardson, Brad Jeane and Daniel Delozier.
