Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Emfinger will be on Thursday, August 3, 2017, at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS at 5:00 PM, with burial to follow in the Midway Cemetery in Meadville. Rev. Webb Armstrong will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home on Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 2:00 PM until time of service at 5:00 PM.

Mrs. Emfinger, 86 of Meadville, MS, passed from this life on August 1, 2017 at Country Brook Living Center in Brookhaven, MS with her loving family by her side. She was born on December 19, 1930 in Meadville, MS to Mr. Simon Jones and Ethel Lee Jones.

Mrs. Emfinger was a faithful member of Sarepta Baptist Church for many years where she was a prayer warrior for her family and friends. She was employed for 18 years at Movie Star garment factory in Bude, MS. She was an avid collector of all types of salt and pepper shakers. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Simon Jones and Ethel Lee Jones; husband Rayford Emfinger; sisters, Madie Arnold, Marie McCall; brothers, Webb Jones, Floyd Jones, and Claude Jones.

Survivors are her sons, Douglas Emfinger and wife Jean of Ridgecrest, LA, Don Emfinger of Meadville, Jerry Emfinger and wife Linda of Meadville, MS, Randy Emfinger and wife Cheryl of Brookhaven, MS; 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, along with a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Glenn Emfinger, Kevin Kammerdeiner, Mark Reid, Craig Wallace, Daniel Calcote, and Toby Landry.
