Dorothy Barfoot Creech, age 85, a lifelong resident of Bude, MS, and most recently Meadville Convalescent Home, Meadville, MS was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday August 31, 2024, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Meadville, MS.

Mrs. Creech was a retired legal secretary, a member of the Eastern Star, and a member of Bude First Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held on Monday September 2, 2024, at Franklin Funeral Home, Meadville, Mississippi, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.

Service will be held in the chapel at Franklin Funeral Home on Tuesday September 3, 2024, at 11:00 A.M., with Brother Tyson Windom, Pastor Bude First Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. on the morning of the service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Oson Creech, her father, Willie Barfoot, Sr., mother, Myrtle Jackson Barfoot, all of Bude, MS, a brother, Willie Barfoot, Jr., of Gulfport, MS, a sister, Doris Barfoot Smith (Lawrence) of Ruston, LA, and a sister Susie Barfoot Carter of Natchez, MS.

Survivors are a son, William Gary Creech (Kerri) of Mankato, MN; a daughter, Sonya Creech Thornhill (Jerry) of Raymond, MS; six grandchildren, Micah, Brianna, and Kayley Creech of Mankato, MN; and Amanda Thornhill Bennett (Ryan) and Travis Thornhill of Raymond, MS, and Justin Thornhill of Meridian, MS; as well as David Carter (brother-in-law) of Canton, MS, Marilyn Barfoot (sister-in-law) of Gulfport, MS, and Sandra Laird (sister-in-law) of Vicksburg, MS and a number of nieces and nephews.

The burial will be in Midway Cemetery, Meadville, MS, following the service.
