Obituary

Funeral services for Daniel Halford, Sr. will be on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Bude Church of God in Bude, MS at 10:00 AM with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue on Friday, July 3, 2026 at Bude Church of God from 9:00 AM until time of service at 10:00 AM. Rev. Tim Bedwell will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Daniel Halford, Sr, 85, of Meadville, passed from this life on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Merit Health in Hattiesburg. He was born on November 17, 1940 to Daniel Napolean Halford and Florence E. Jackson Halford.

Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Ray Halford; brothers, Donald Halford, Glen Halford; and grandchildren, Brett Halford, Cheyenne Halford, Ricky Burks.

Survivors are his wife of 65 years, Thelma Halford; daughters, Janice Loran Halford, Nancy Lynn Perry (Alton); sons, Robert A. Halford, Daniel Halford, Jr. (Donna), John Wayne Halford; grandchildren, Elizabeth Callender, Otis Wilkinson, Calvin Perry; great grandchildren, Jessie Wilkinson, Shayne Wilkinson, Casstiale Thorp, Mackenzie Thorp, Asher Thorp, Kalisie Thorp, Daniel Calvin, Hazail Jackson, Anslyee McLaurin, Freya McLaurin, Mason Halford, Amber Halford, Dalton Halford, Kamerin Perry, Amarie Wilkinson, Payton Wilkinson, Axiel Wilkinson; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Calvin Perry, Al Perry, Daniel Wilkinson, “Boo” Stroud, Jessie Wilkinson, Michael McLauren, Clifton Shipp, Brandon “Spud” Bordelon.

Honorary pallbearer is Mason Halford.
