Clonie Halford Brown, 90, of Meadville, MS, died Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the Meadville Convalescent Home in Meadville, MS. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Franklin Funeral Home and continue on Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM at the Bude Church of God. Burial will follow in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Meadville, MS. Bro. Daniel Smith will officiate the services. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Brown was born August 17, 1923 in Ruston, LA to Willie "Sweet" and Janie Norris Halford. She was a member of Bude Church of God. She worked for many years in garment industry as a seamstress and was well known for her cakes. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie "Sweet" and Janie Norris Halford; husband, Jim Brown; brother, Dudley Halford; and sons-in-law, Charles Twiner and Olen Lee.

Survivors are her daughters, Barbara Brown Twiner of Meadville, MS, and Linda Brown Lee of Lake Charels, LA; sisters, Vivian Halford Joy of Natchez, MS; brother, Weldon "Bo" Halford and wife Shirley of Natchez, MS; grandchildren, Terry Lee, Toni Lee, Darren Twiner and Cynthia Twiner Purser; great grandchildren: Lindsey LeVeque, Shelby Lee, Damien Lee and Kristen Busbee; great, great grandchildren, Kylea Busbee, Parker Rae LeVeque and Dexter Keith LeVeque; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
