Funeral services for Mr. Claude Warren Youngblood, 92, of Meadville, MS will be on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Meadville United Methodist Church in Meadville, MS at 2:30 PM, with burial to follow in the Union Church Cemetery in Union Church, MS. Rev. Joe Martin, Rev Becky Youngblood, and Rev. Milton Watley will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Meadville United Methodist Church on Sunday, January 28, 2018, from 1:30 PM until time of service at 2:30 PM.
Mr. Youngblood passed from this life on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Franklin Memorial Hospital. He was born on February 15, 1925 in Jefferson County, MS to Mr. Frank Youngblood and Mrs. Alice Cammack Youngblood.
He was a longtime member of Galatia Methodist Church until its closure, after that he was a member of Meadville United Methodist Church. He was a lifetime farmer and served our nation in the United States Army during World War II.
Preceding him in death were his parents; Frank and Alice Cammack Youngblood; 6 brothers, Donald, Ben, Howard, Hollis, Wesley, Carroll and one sister, Jennie Youngblood.
Survivors are his wife of 52 years, Ollie Mae Youngblood; son, Randy Youngblood (Sidney); brother, Ed Youngblood (Betty); sister, Edith Dennard (Robert); 2 grandchildren, Daniel Youngblood and Jessye McBride.
Pallbearers are Hermon Osborne, Gary Buckles, Daniel Youngblood, Scott Bandy, Bubba Gabbert and Mark Youngblood.
