Funeral services for Mr. Claude Q. "Pete" Bowlin, Jr. will be on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow in the Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery in Meadville, MS. Rev. Rusty Bowlin, Rev. Glen Alexander, and Rev. Kaleb Carlin will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home on Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.
Mr. Claude Q. "Pete" Bowlin, Jr, 84, of Denham Springs, LA, passed from this life on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Harvest Manor in Denham Springs, LA. He was born on November 23, 1939 in McCall Creek, MS, to Claude Q. Bowlin, Sr. and Lola Mullins Bowlin.
Mr. Bowlin served our nation in the United States Navy as an aviation pilot during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed bicycle riding, fishing with his brother, and sail boating. He loved to read and study the Bible. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and generous friend.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Mary Anne Steele Bowlin; and sister, Barbara Musick.
Survivors are his sons, Mark Bradley Bowlin (Allison), Curt Christopher Bowlin (Marie); daughter, Jennifer Anne Carlin (Paul); brother, Rusty Bowlin (Margery); nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers are Paul Carlin, Christopher Carlin, Kaleb Carlin, Glen Alexander, Andrew Alexander, and Brian Musick.
