Charles W.
"Windy" Aldridge
February 13, 1955 – July 18, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Charles W. "Windy" Aldridge, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left us on July 18, 2025, at the age of 70. Windy's memory will be cherished by all who knew him for his warmth, wisdom, and the love he shared with his family and friends.
Windy was born on February 13, 1955, in Roxie, Mississippi, and was well-known throughout the community. He had a passion for his craft as an ASE Master Service Automotive Technician, dedicating over 50 years to the profession. Though he retired several times, his love for the work never waned, and he continued to consult, sharing his expertise with those who needed it most.
Above all, Windy was a devoted family man. He is survived by his loving wife, Eva Marie Aldridge, and his three children: Shana Aldridge Krapovicky of Brandon, MS, Justin Aldridge of Tampa, FL, and Kalin Aldridge Everton (Blaine) of Phenix City, AL. He is also survived by four cherished grandchildren: Jaycee Aldridge, Dorian Aldridge, Grayson Krapovicky, and Scarlett Everton. Windy is also survived by his brother, David (Clutch) Aldridge (Val), who shared in the joys and challenges of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, JC and Claudia Aldridge, and his brother, James "Cooter Bill" Aldridge.
Windy was an avid hunter, and his love for turkey hunting was a defining passion. He spent countless hours in nature, and the quiet moments in the woods brought him peace and joy. Those who knew him would describe him as a man of great character, always ready with a story, a joke, or a helping hand. His sense of humor, generosity, and commitment to those he loved will be deeply missed.
A funeral service will be held in his honor at Roxie Baptist Church on July 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM. All are welcome to come and pay their respects to a man who touched so many lives.
