Mr. Charles F. Jordan, 87, of Smithdale, MS died Friday, November 16, 2012 at his home in Smithdale, MS. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2012 from 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM at Franklin Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Monday, November 19, 2012 from 10:00 AM until services at 11:00 AM at Franklin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Nettles Family Cemetery in Smithdale, MS. Franklin Funeral Home, Meadville, MS is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Jordan was born March, 16, 1925 in Auburn, MS. He was the son of Albert and Ruby McMorris Jordan. He was a member of Temple Hill Church of Christ. He served in the U S Army during World War II and he worked as an electrician. Mr. Jordan was a loving husband, daddy and granddaddy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers: Talmadge J. Jordan and Wallace R. Jordan; 3 sisters: Estelle J. Freeman, Gladys J. Cowart and Maxine J. Kessler.

Survivors are his spouse: Catherine N. Jordan; 2 sons Joe M. Jordan and wife Cheryl, of Lake Charles, LA and James D. Jordan and wife Joann of Vidalia, LA; 2 daughters: Patricia J. Anderson and husband Jim and Sheila J. McFarland all of Vidalia, LA; 3 brothers: Moody Jordan and wife Martha, Joe Van Jordan and wife Gayla and Rodney Jordan; 3 sisters; Iola J. Coward, Opal J. Futch and husband Ray, and Jeannette J. Bailey; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
