Carolyn Janet "Pud" Smith, 55, of Roxie, MS, passed on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at her residence in Roxie, MS. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and continue on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM at the Franklin Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow in the Midway Cemetery. Bro. James Hunsucker will be officiating the services. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Ms. Smith was born August 2, 1957 in Franklin County, MS to Thomas Wilkin and Willie Mae Twiner Smith. She was a member of the Elmo Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and was disabled for several years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Wilkin and Willie Mae Twiner Smith.

Survivors are her sisters, Josephine Smith Pierce of Roxie, MS, and Sandra Diane Smith Russell and husband Terry of Austin, TX; brothers, Alton Smith and wife Peggy of Slaughter, KY, Alfred Smith and wife Ann of Roxie, MS, Herman Smith and wife Betty of Roxie, MS, David Smith and wife Sharon of Roxie, MS, T.J. Smith and wife Barbara of Roxie, MS, and Ellis Smith and Susie of Roxie, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
