Memorial services for Mrs. Carol Ann Johnson will be on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at New Hope Baptist Church in Meadville, MS at 4:00 PM.  Rev. Calvin Wactor will be officiating the services. Visitation will be at New Hope Baptist Church on Sunday, October 29, 2023 from 2:00 PM until time of service at 4:00 PM. A private committal service will be at a later date.

Mrs. Johnson, 66, of Meadville, MS passed from this life on October 18, 2023 at her residence in Meadville. She was born on May 7, 1957 in Meadville, MS to Mr. Robert Edwards and Mrs. Beatrice Jackson Edwards.

Carol loved children.  She operated a day care where she cared for and taught many children, and loved them as they were her own.  She loved her church. She was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church for many years. She loved her family, demonstrating what unconditional love really is. She was known by all people that knew her as being a very sweet, kind, gentle, and loving lady.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Robert and Beatrice Edwards; husband, Tommy Milton, Jr.; sister, Barbara Edwards; brothers, Johnny Edwards and Jimmy Edwards.

Survivors are her husband, Jackie Johnson; sons; Tommy Milton III and his wife, Melonie of Baton Rouge, LA., Marc Milton and his wife, Brittany of Magee, MS; step-daughter, Jessica Tilley and her husband Shane of Columbus, MS; step-son, Jayson Johnson and his wife Katie of Smithdale, MS; sister, Judy Andrasko and her husband Paul of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren, Taya Milton, Lyla Milton, Ashlyn Tilley, Jamie Farling, and Alena Farling. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends and many, many children that she cared for daily and loved as her own.
