A graveside service for Mrs. Carol Thornton Hancock will be on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Smithdale, MS at 10:00 AM Rev. Eric Moak will be officiating the service, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Carol Thornton Hancock, 89, of Meadville, passed from this life on March 08, 2024 at Franklin County Memorial Hospital. She was born on November 4, 1934 in Smithdale, MS to Mr. Clarence Luther Thornton and Mrs. Ollie Virginia Thornton.

Preceding her in death were her parents; infant children, Jerry Lane Hancock, Terry Wayne Hancock; brothers, Frank Thornton, Joe Thornton, Billy Thornton; and sisters, Mildred Nettles, Dorothy Ham.

Survivors are her son, Larry Hancock and grandson, Michael Shane Hancock.
