Mr. Carl Ray Lehmann, 91, was called into the presence of the Lord on March 19, 2015, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Meadville, MS. Mr. Lehmann was born at Oldenburg, MS, August 28, 1923 to Mr. Herbert Lehmann and Mrs. Sammie Osborne Lehmann.
Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS on Friday, March 20, 2015 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM and continue Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 10:00 AM till time of service at 11:00 AM at Greendale United Methodist Church in Oldenburg, MS. The graveside service will follow in the Oldenburg United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Randy Youngblood and Mr. Jimmy Jones will be officiating the services. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Lehmann was a kind and compassionate man, with a deep love for his family and friends. He was never too busy to give of his time to anyone in need. Mr. Lehmann dedicated his life for 38 years as a Franklin County Supervisor with many of those years as "President of the Board". He was retired.
Mr. Lehmann was known for his hard work, integrity, honesty, and respectful treatment of all people. He touched the lives of countless people, young and old, during his many years of public service. He was known as a gentle and loving man that greeted all people with a kind smile, a warm handshake, and treated everyone he met with dignity and respect.
Mr. Lehmann is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Herbert Lehmann and Mrs. Sammie Osborne Lehmann; daughter, Mrs. Sherry Peeples; sister, Mrs. Mary Ann Wilson; grandchild, Jamie Webb and great-grandchild, Maxie Webb.
Survivors are his wife of 72 years, Mrs. Mary (Sister) Elizabeth Lehmann of Oldenburg, MS; son, Len Lehman and wife, Angie of Oldenburg, MS; daughters, Beverly Hall and husband, Malcolm of Natchez, MS. and Carla Lehmann McLemore of Meadville, MS; sister, Mrs. Rose Sidick of Huntsville, AL, ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild along with a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers are Yancy Lehmann, Austin Weeks, Casey Novak, Justin Martin, Max Knapp , Darron Webb, Richard Freeman and David Aldridge.
Honorary Pallbearers are Danny Oglesby, Jimmy Brown, Jimmy Jones, Ike Hall, Caleb Lehmann, Gary Lehmann,Danny Daniels, and Justin Savage.
