Funeral services for Mr. Carl Howard Hancock will be on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS at 10:00 AM, with burial to follow in the Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Eddie King, Rev. James Avery and Rev. Leon Wallace will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and continue Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at 10:00 A.M.

Mr. Hancock, 89, of Ferriday, LA, passed from this life on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, LA. He was born on July 2, 1929, in

Franklin County, MS, to Mr. Thomas Howard Hancock and Mrs. Lucy Amazon McCallister Hancock.

Mr. Hancock was a lifelong construction contractor, working jobs all over Mississippi and Louisiana.  He loved to fox hunt, fish, deer hunt and being outdoors. He faithfully attended Parkview Church of God in Natchez with his wife and family for many years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and best friend that will be greatly missed.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Thomas Howard Hancock and Lucy Amazon McCallister Hancock; sisters, Loraine Hancock Israel, Dorothy Hancock Moody; brothers, Moyese Hancock and Lemuel Hancock.

Survivors are his wife of 65 years, Rheva Causey Hancock, son, Christopher Hancock and wife, Tori of Chesbrough, LA; grandchildren, Lance Hancock, Lori Michelle Lambert and seven great grandchildren.
