Candace Edwards, age 46, of Meadville, MS, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

Born on February 20, 1980 in Centreville, MS, Candace was the daughter of Jimmie M. Bass and Janelle Bass. She spent several years with Sullivan's Kitchen and was known for her kindness and laughs she gave all of her co-workers, friends, loved ones, and customers. A lot of people knew her from her dedication to Sullivan's Kitchen and her strong faith that she poured into everyone.

Candace is survived by her children Brittany "Evryn" Newton, Chelbie Travis ( James Travis), and Robert "RJ" Newton. She is also survived by her brother Jimmie "Bodi"  Bass (Molly Bass), and sister Traci Dykes ( Andy Dykes) and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by mother Janelle Bass, father Jimmie Bass, uncle Mark Hebert, many aunts and uncles before her.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private ceremony of life will be performed at a later date. The family will be contacted directly.
