Funeral services for Calvin Lavon Causey, Sr., 80, of Meadville, Mississippi will be at 11am on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Meaville with Bro. Leon Wallace Officiating, internment will follow at Middleton Creek Primitive Cemetery.  Visitation will be 6-8 on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, all under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home.

Calvin was born in Meadville, Mississippi on May 15, 1943 to the late Charlie Louis and RosaLee Prather Causey and passed from this life surrounded by his loved ones on June 4, 2023 at Forrest General Hospital.  Calvin was a loving Father, PawPaw, PapPap, and friend.  He is a proud U.S. Navy Veteran, worked as a deputy of Concordia Parish Sherffs Department, retired as a diesel mechanic of Taylor Equipment, and a member of the Chapter G motorcycle club.  Calvin loved spending time with family and friends, riding his motorcycle, camping and traveling.

Preceded in death by his Parents: Charlie Louis & RosaLee Prather Causey.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Sonny Causey (wife Sandy Causey) of Meadville; Daughter, Sheri Drane (fiancé Todd Savage) of Dulac, La; Grandchildren Sierra Causey (Fiance Andrew Franks) of Winnsboro, La, Kylea Drane of Ferriday, La, Suzanne Rasberry, Michael Plugge, both of Meadville.  Great-grandchildren; Maddi Smith, Trenton Delaune, Bryce Causey, Brantley Causey, Bubby Jr. Wallace, Brittany Wallace,

Austin Wallace (fiance, Kellie Torrez); Brothers, Roger Causey (wife Kay Causey), Weslie Causey (wife Darnell Causey); The Mother of his children, Faye Causey and a host of nieces, nephews and many special friends.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Franks, Shawn Thibodeaux, Wade Wallace, Stephen Causey, Todd Savage, Wayne Matthews, Michael Foreman, James Nevels.

Honorary Pallbearers will be his great-grandsons Bryce Causey, Trenton Delaune, Brantley Causey, Bubby Jr. Wallace, Austin Wallace; great grand-daughters Maddi Smith and Brittany Wallace.
