Mr. Bobby Prather, 81, was called home from this life on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Mr. Prather was born August 25, 1934 to Mr. Benoit John Prather and Mrs. Lottie Reva Arnold Prather.

Visitation will be at Elmo Baptist Church in Fayette, MS on Saturday, November, 28, 2015 from 10:00 AM till time of service at 12:00 PM, at Elmo Baptist Church. The graveside service will follow in Elmo Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. James Hunsucker will officiate the services. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Prather was retired from Jitney Jungle Food Stores where he worked in distribution. He owned several horses and loved spending time with them. He had a deep love for his family and was very fond of John Wayne movies. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Mr. Prather is preceded in death by his parents, Benoit John Prather and Lottie Reva Arnold Prather; wife, Ruby W. Bowman Prather and sisters, Annette Clanton and Janette Cooper.

Survivors are daughters, Janet Jackson and husband Danny of Ecru, MS; Cathy Hammack and husband Matt of Flora, MS, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Matt Hammack, Danny Jackson, Sam Jackson, Randy Arnold, Brian Clanton, and Bruce Clanton.

Honorary Pallbearers are Eli Hammack and Chris McGill.
