Funeral services for Billy Carroll Wilson, Jr. will be on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Meadville, MS at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM and will continue until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Elder Thomas Griffin will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Billy Carrol Wilson, Jr., 67, of Meadville, passed from this life on Monday, February 3, 2025, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born on September 25, 1957 in Brookhaven, MS, to Billy Carroll Wilson, Sr. and Ruthie Mae Havard Shiers.

He enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. He was a loving husband, father, Paw Paw, and friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents; step father-in-law, Chester Shiers; and brother-in-law, Donald Clyde Smith.

Survivors are his wife of 27 years, Janice Wilson; daughter, Emily Gatlin (Jeff); step-sons, Justin Thompson (Leslie), Todd Thompson, Hank Wallace (Bethany); sister, Brenda Wilson Smith; grandchildren, Waylon Leonard, Libby Thompson, Aubrey Thompson, Fisher Thompson; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Waylon Leonard, Lindsey Jackson, Marty Jackson, Jeff Gatlin, Hank Wallace, Justin Thompson, Mitch Cothren, and Rex Cothren.

Honorary pallbearers are Todd Thompson, Fisher Thompson, Mark Davis, Robert Storey, Derrick (Fuzz) Case, Tony (Coon) Smith, Ryan Smith, and Richard Kimble.
