Billy D. Arnold, 86, of Meadville, MS died Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Meadville Convalescent Home in Meadville, MS. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012 from 5:00 P M until 9:00 P M and continue Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 10:00 A M until the time of services at 11:00 A M at Bunkley Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Bunkley Baptist Church Cemetery in Bunkley, MS. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers are: Steve Arnold, Corey Arnold, Manson Smallwood, Clay Smallwood, Nicklaus Brisco, and Stephen Arnold. Honorary pallbearers are: Kole Junkin, Pate Shirley, Judson Arnold, and Cade Cangemi.

Mr. Arnold was born November 16, 1926 in Adams County, MS. He was the son of Hoyt Byrd and Ola Arnold. He served in the US Navy and worked for several years as a carpenter and electrician. He was of the Church of God faith and a member of Praise Cathedral Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Eleanor Zeske Arnold; and daughter: Cheryl Darlene Arnold Smith.

Survivors are his sons: Jimmy D. Arnold and Cissi of Bunkley, MS, Ronald E. Arnold and wife Shirley Faye of Bunkley, MS, Paul S. Arnold and wife Faye of Natchez, MS; brothers: Jimmy Byrd of Bunkley, MS and Charles Edwards and wife Betty of Bunkley, MS; sister: Frances Nobles and husband Earl of Clinton, MS; grandchildren: Debbie Smallwood, Steve Arnold, Christy Rabb, Angela Harried, Amy Arnold, Bridget Jordan and Corey Arnold; 14 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.
