Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Godbold will be on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Eddiceton Baptist Church in Eddiceton, MS at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow in the Eddiceton Cemetery in Eddiceton, MS. Rev. Matthew Wallace will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Eddiceton Baptist Church on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 9:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM.

Mrs. Godbold, 83, of Eddiceton, passed from this life on Monday, October 3, 2022 at her residence. She was born on February 6, 1939 in Lincoln County, MS to Mr. Alvie White and Mrs. Ada Pickering White.

She enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with her family. She passed her time by working word search puzzles.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Peyton Earl Godbold; parents, Alvie and Ada White; brothers, A.C. White and Curt Wilson, Sr.

Survivors are her daughters, Janet Godbold Spring and Cathy Godbold Perkins; sister, Helen Griffin; brother, Ben Wilkinson; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Jimmy Wroten, Anthony Steele, Jacob Jordan, Brian Monroe, Timmy Nations and Jeremy Street.

Honorary pallbearers are John Perkins, Ryan Perkins, C.J. Fussell, Wesley Street, Hudson Street and Todd Spring.

The family request memorials be made in her name to: Building Fund at Eddiceton Baptist Church, 185 Veto Road, McCall Creek MS 39647.
