Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Brown will be on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at Hamburg Baptist Church in Roxie, MS at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Roxie, MS. Rev. Larry Richie and Rev. James Sadler will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home on Monday, June 17, 2019, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and resume at Hamburg Baptist Church in Roxie, MS on Tuesday, June 18 from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am.

Mrs. Brown, 70, of Roxie, MS, passed from this life on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born on June 27, 1948 in Bude, MS to Mr. William Farley Jordan Sr. and Mrs. Oma Genevia Murry Jordan.

Barbara was longtime employee of the Franklin County Board of Supervisors serving as Assets, Inventory, and Payroll Clerk. She enjoyed fishing with her husband and canning vegetables from their garden. She loved sharing these gifts with family and friends. She treasured her family and spending time with her grandchildren. You never met Barbara when she didn't have a pleasant smile and a kind word to share. She will be deeply missed.

Preceding her in death were her parents, William and Genevia Jordan; son, Jimmy Wayne Brown Jr.; brother William Farley Jordan Jr.; infant brother, Charles Winton Jordan and 4 stillborn siblings.

Survivors are her husband of 52 years, Jimmy Brown Sr.; son Wade Brown; sister Linnie Jo Jordan Varnado; grandchildren, Prentice Brown, Collin Brown and a lifetime of friends and loved ones.

Pallbearers are, Prentice Brown, Collin Brown, Garry Charboneau, Brad Barnett, Pat Granger, Kevin Bonds, and Charlie Claysen.

Honorary pallbearer is Pat Sanders and Lee Agerton.
