Aubrey I. Garner, 85, of Roxie, MS, passed on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at his residence in Roxie, MS. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Roxie City Cemetery. Bro. Van Windom, Bro. Tyson Windom and Bro. Jamie Wallace will be officiating the services. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Garner was born August 31, 1928 in Crowville, LA to Richard L. and Ovie Tinker Garner. He was a member of the Roxie Baptist Church. He owned his own business where he worked for many years as as chainsaw repairman. He loved to fish and spent many hours fishing for white perch with his wife Jimmie. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard L. and Ovie Tinker Garner; son, Dale Garner; sister, Jeanette Garner; and brothers, Cecil Garner and Russell Garner.

Survivors are his wife of 64 years, Jimmie Mullins Garner; daughter, Carolyn Garner Matthews of Roxie, MS; sons, Willie Garner of Roxie, MS, and Len Garner and wife Janet of Roxie, MS; daughter in law, Therese Garner; grandchildren, 9; great grandchildren, 9; great, great grandchildren, 1; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
