March 4, 1934 – March 30, 2022
Annie Marjorie Herring, age 88, gained her wings on March 30, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at her home in Meadville, MS. She was born on March 4, 1934 in Tylertown, MS, to Otis and Bertha (Thomas) Stogner. She married James Thomas Herring, and was his wife for over 50 years. She worked as an LPN in Bude, MS until her retirement. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
Marjorie was known by all who loved her as "Grandma." She enjoyed working in her garden, sewing, traveling, and most of all, taking care of her cattle on the farm. She was an active member in Farm Bureau, and served as Women's Chairman for a number of years. Her greatest joy came from the vacations and adventures with her grandsons and great-grandchildren. Anyone who knew her, knew how much she loved them and that they meant the world to her.
She is preceded in death by her father, mother, brother, sister, and loving husband.
She is survived by her dauthers, Jacqueline Herring, Tanya Huff; three grandsons, Lynt Herring, Lance Carroll, Tristin Huff (Rylee); four great-grandchildren, Allisyn Diaz, Eli Carroll, Bella Carroll, Brylon Huff; her nieces, Shirley, Cindy, Susan; nephew, Bruce; and special friend, "Sarge."
Visitation will be Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM and will have a graveside service at Carson Springs Baptist Church in Sandy Hook, MS at 4:30 PM. Rev. Tony Mullins will be officiating the services with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
