Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Juanita Cothren will be on Saturday, May, 18, 2019, at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Natchez, MS, MS. Rev. Jamie Wallace will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home on Friday, May 17, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and continue Saturday, May 18 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM.

Mrs. Cothren, 71, of Roxie, MS, passed from this life on May 15, 2019, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS.  She was born on July, 7, 1947 in Meadville, MS, to Mr. Cameron Buckels and Mrs. Alice Lima Adams Buckels.

She enjoyed being with family and friends. She was a very loving mother, wife, grandmother, and friend that often reached out to fill the needs of others.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Cameron and Alice Lima Buckels; sister, Madeline Bickerstaff; brothers, Rayford Buckels, Kenneth Buckels, Billy Buckels, and Bobby Buckels.

Survivors are her husband of 50 years, Marcus Cothren; daughters, Leanne Cothren of Jackson, MS; son, Paul Cothren of Yellowstone National Park, WY; brother, Alfred Buckles of Nebraska; grandchildren, Christopher Cantrell, Jack Renfroe along with a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are, Christopher Cantrell, Jack Renfroe, Kyle Hunt, Dick Toth, Allan Buckles and David Cothren.

Honorary pallbearers are, Alfred Buckles, Ron Toth, and Jessie Havard.
