Funeral services for Alice Marie Buckles will be on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS at 12:00 PM. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS at from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM. Bro. Lynn Oglesby will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Alice Marie Buckles, 83, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Merit Health in Natchez with her loving family by her side. She was born on March 18, 1941 in Natchez, MS to Mr. Otis H. Buckles and Mrs. Lucy Milbry Hutchins Buckles.

She loved working in her flower gardens and taking care of her puppy "Toby". She had a deep love for God and her family, church family, and friends.  She loved going to church, eating ice cream and Krystal burgers.  She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend. She will be truly missed but will live on in the memories that we have created through the years.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Lonnie Buckles, James Buckles, William Buckles, Charles Buckles; sisters, Clara Ann Holland, Lillie Thomas, and Betty Buckles.

Survivors are her sons, Mike Stroud, James Earl Stroud, Howard Stroud; daughters, Sherry Oglesby (Lynn), Brenda Byrd (Tommy); sister, Judy Carter; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, family and friends.

Pallbearers are Howard Stroud, Jr., Patrick Evans, Daniel Leggett, Jason Leggett, Kaleb Allred, and James Allred.

Honorary Pallbearers are Tyler Tillman, Travis Batley, and Larry Perkins.
