A graveside service for Mr. A.J. Emfinger will be on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Midway Cemetery in Meadville, MS at 3:00 PM. Rev. Millard Moak will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home on Sunday, March 19, 2023, from 2:00 PM until time of service at 3:00 PM.

Mr. A.J. Emfinger, 92, of Meadville, passed from this life on Friday, March 17, 2023, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born on January 31, 1931 in Franklin County, MS, to Dee Emfinger and Ethel Ezell Emfinger.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and collecting antiques. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Elsie Pearl Newell Emfinger; sister, Christine Vaughn; and brother, Curtis Emfinger.

Survivors are his daughters, Katherine Prospere, Deborah Roberts; son, James Barry Emfinger; brother, Billy Ray Emfinger; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers will be members of the family.

The family request memorials be made in his name to Midway Cemetery.
